In 2023, Porc-Ex A/S celebrated its 25th anniversary, and we are proud that Porc-Ex A/S has been in the game right from the start, proving to be a trendsetting company in the industry.
The market in the 90s was driven by the export of piglets infected with atrophic rhinitis and dysentery. Porc-Ex A/S began to systematise purchasing and sales, and at the same time made a great effort to be transparent about the pigs’ health, which helped create new frameworks in the market. Porc-Ex A/S contributed to improving conditions and has been instrumental in the development that has occurred since, leading to the current situation where approximately 15 million piglets are exported annually from Denmark.
To minimise transport costs, Porc-Ex A/S is having the first 5 covered trailers built by a bodybuilder in Spain with approximately 160 m² of floor space, which was an unheard-of concept at the time, but which today is standard for the majority of piglet transport on the market.
Throughout its entire existence in the piglet industry, Porc-Ex A/S has been trendsetting and a leader in new initiatives to minimise costs, deliver healthy and good quality pigs under good animal welfare conditions. As a supplier and customer, you can be sure that the pigs will travel safely from the Danish farm to the recipient.
